The Board of Directors ("Board") of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad ("SCIB") wishes to announce that the Board has on 16 April 2019:

(i) proposed to seek shareholder mandate for the existing RRPT by way of an ordinary resolution at the 43rd AGM. A Circular to Shareholders seeking for shareholders' approval on the Proposed Shareholder Mandate is currently being prepared. The existing shareholder mandate was obtained at the 42nd AGM of SCIB held on 31 May 2018. In accordance with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the existing shareholder mandate shall lapse at the conclusion of the 43rd AGM, unless renewal is obtained.

(ii) proposed to seek for shareholders' approval on the Proposed Adoption of the New Constitution of the Company. A Circular to Shareholders in relation thereto will be despatched to the shareholders of the Company in due course.
