Reduction Of The Issued Share Capital Of SCIB Pursuant To Section 116 Of The Companies Act 2016 ("ACT") ("CAPITAL REDUCTION")

We refer to the announcement dated 26 April 2021 and the circular to shareholders dated 8 June 2021 ("Circular") in relation to the Capital Reduction. Unless otherwise defined, the terms used herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the Circular.

On behalf of the Board, UOBKH wishes to announce that the High Court of Malaya had on 2 November 2021 granted an order confirming the Capital Reduction. The sealed order will be extracted and an office copy of the order will be lodged with the Registrar of Companies for the Capital Reduction to take effect pursuant to Section 116(6) of the Act.

The effective date of the Capital Reduction will be announced in due course.
