SCIB - Notice Of Bonus Entitlement

Bonus issue of up to 367,897,500 new ordinary shares in Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad ("SCIB") ("SCIB Share(s)") ("Bonus Share(s)") on the basis of 3 Bonus Shares for every 1 existing SCIB Share

Kindly be advised of the following :

1)    The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “[Ex-Bonus Issue]” as from: 30 Dec 2020
2)    The last date of lodgment : 31 Dec 2020
3)    Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-
        a)    Selling Broker to deduct  <3/4>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
        b)    Buying Broker to deduct  <75%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
        c)    Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of  <3/4>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks 1:- 

"Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 31 December 2020 with bonus issue of  SCIB shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive SCIB bonus issue shares, may sell any or all of his SCIB shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (30 December 2020).

For example, if Mr X purchases 100 SCIB shares on cum basis on 29 December 2020, Mr X should receive 100 shares on 31 December 2020. As a result of the bonus issue, a total of 400 SCIB shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 31 December 2020 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the bonus issue shares of 400 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 30 December 2020 onwards.

Remarks 2 :
The date of the listing and quotation for the Bonus Shares shall be on 4 January 2021, being the next market day immediately after the Entitlement Date. 

The notices of allotment will be issued and dispatched to all the entitled shareholders of SCIB within 4 market days after the date of the listing and quotation for the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Entitled shareholders are not required to take any action.
