KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd's (SCIB) unit, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn Bhd (SIBS), has secured a revised contract worth RM162 million for the Perumahan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (PR1MA) Fasa 1 project in Kubang Kerian, Kota Bahru, Kelantan.
The contract, secured from AUEI Teras Holding Sdn Bhd, follows the EPCC contract initially awarded to SCIB Properties Sdn Bhd in May 2021.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 27): Civil engineering specialist Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) has filed a lawsuit against Dynamic Prestige Consultancy Sdn Bhd and is seeking RM14 million in refunds previously paid to “explore business opportunities in the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) sector”.
SCIB claimed that it had paid the sum “in tranches” to Dynamic Prestige between October and November last year.

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) is set to gain US$13.32 million (RM60.72 million) after the clients of six contracts in Qatar and Oman agreed to take on the debts that the group owes to its subcontractors for the projects.
SCIB's US$133.42 million debt obligations to the subcontractors are to be taken up by the projects' respective clients, and are to be fulfilled by utilising the US$146.74 million debts the clients owe SCIB and its unit SCIB International (Labuan) Ltd (SCIBL), the group said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

The LOA will see SCIB Properties undertake, implement, and complete the proposed new road connecting Baleh Bridge, RH. Belaja, Ng. Benin, SK. Ng. Pelagus and Pelagus Resort in Daerah Kapit, Sarawak with the terms and conditions as stipulated in the contract signed between Masama and Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda).

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 3): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) has bagged two engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contracts for an estimated total value of RM271.1 million.
The contracts, one in Sarawak and the other in the Gulf nation of Qatar, have increased the group’s order book to RM1.7 billion, the integrated civil construction group said.
“It has also allowed us to achieve our internal order book target of RM1.5 billion for 2020,” SCIB managing director and CEO Rosland Othman said in a statement today.

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 17): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB)'s shareholders have approved the company's proposed three-for-one bonus issue and free warrants during a virtual EGM held today.
SCIB said in a statement that the virtual EGM was convened for the bonus issue of 367.9 million new ordinary shares in the company on the basis of three bonus shares for every one existing SCIB share held on an entitlement date to be determined and announced later.
